چکیده
Bioprinting In article 2203021 by Carlos Mota and co-workers, a polysaccharide-based hydrogel human mesenchymal stromal cell spheroids are combined to obtain bioink. Using the spheroid-based bioink, contructs were bioprinted successfully differentiated post-bioprinting cartilagelike tissues.

Inverse regulation of early and late chondrogenic differentiation by oxygen tension provides cues for stem cell-based cartilage tissue engineering.
BACKGROUND/AIMS Multipotent stem/stromal cells (MSC) are considered promising for cartilage tissue engineering. However, chondrogenic differentiation of MSC can ultimately lead to the formation of hypertrophic chondrocytes responsible for the calcification of cartilage. To prevent the production of this calcified matrix at the articular site, the late hypertrophic differentiation of MSCs must b...
متن کاملPLLA/HA Nano composite scaffolds for stem cell proliferation and differentiation in tissue engineering
Abstract Due to their mulitpotency, Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), have the ability to proliferate and differentiate into multiple mesodermal tissues. The aim of this study was to isolate MSCs from human Umbilical Cord (hUCMSCs) to determine their osteogenic potential on nanofibrous scaffolds. To this end, Poly (L-lactic acid) (PLLA)/Nano hydroxyapatite (HA) composite nanofibrous scaffolds were...
متن کاملApplication of Extrusion-Based Hydrogel Bioprinting for Cartilage Tissue Engineering
Extrusion-based bioprinting (EBB) is a rapidly developing technique that has made substantial progress in the fabrication of constructs for cartilage tissue engineering (CTE) over the past decade. With this technique, cell-laden hydrogels or bio-inks have been extruded onto printing stages, layer-by-layer, to form three-dimensional (3D) constructs with varying sizes, shapes, and resolutions. Th...
متن کامل3D bioprinting for tissue engineering: Stem cells in hydrogels
Surgical limitations require alternative methods of repairing and replacing diseased and damaged tissue. Regenerative medicine is a growing area of research with engineered tissues already being used successfully in patients. However, the demand for such tissues greatly outweighs the supply and a fast and accurate method of production is still
متن کاملCartilage Tissue Engineering Using Dermis Isolated Adult Stem Cells: The Use of Hypoxia during Expansion versus Chondrogenic Differentiation
Dermis isolated adult stem (DIAS) cells, a subpopulation of dermis cells capable of chondrogenic differentiation in the presence of cartilage extracellular matrix, are a promising source of autologous cells for tissue engineering. Hypoxia, through known mechanisms, has profound effects on in vitro chondrogenesis of mesenchymal stem cells and could be used to improve the expansion and differenti...
